Attila Pálffy is a seventh generation winemaker in the northern Hungarian village of Köveskál. He makes organic wines with his father, Gyula, at the Pálffy family winery. P.A.N.K. (Pálffy Attila Nemes Köveskál) is Pálffy's side project, comprised solely of small-batch natural wines made in experimental styles.
The Normal Pet-Nat is 100% Olaszrizling (Welschriesling). It was grown on the Pellengér vineyard, with mostly limestone soils. The vines are 50 years old.
Whole cluster pressing and spontaneous fermentation. Unfined, unfiltered and not disgorged. Zero sulfur added. Certified organic farming.
The label for the Normal Pet-Nat, with its “love is love” caption, was designed in solidarity with the Hungarian LGBTQ community after the government outlawed same-sex adoption in 2020.
